Bring the Next Steer into the Financial Slaughterhouse

Next up on the killing floor: Lehman Brothers.

So a day after the markets are happy because Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are being bailed out, it's back to the n0w-usual deathwatch of another venerable financial institution.

I wonder if there is a commonality to all this, in that I wonder if these institutions threw aside human risk analysis in favor of computer modeling. I wonder if anyone was paying attention to how the computer modeling programs worked, rather than just looking at the output.

I have no idea, I'm just wondering.
