What Do the 2001 Anthrax Attacks, Piracy and the D.C. Madam All Have In Common?

"Dead men tell no tales."

Arrrr.

I used to think that there was a lot of kookiness in the conspiracy-buff world. I still think that most of the alleged conspiracies are bogus, for if there is one thing that government has shown, is that secrets eventually leak out and our government, more than most, has the same ability to keep things hushed up that a colander does to hold water.

But having said that, do I think it at all possible that this Administration, more than any other, is fully capable of killing an arguably innocent person in order to hush up a potential scandal?

Damn right I do.

  1. Three can keep a secret, if two are dead. The problem with conspiracy is that someone talks, but even that wouldn't mean anything, if no one wants to know the truth. Do they want to know the truth? Look at what we do know, and do nothing about.

  2. And all those yahoos who were screeching "Vince Foster!" where are they now?

  3. DCup, I was thinking about that, too.

  4. Well, thing is, the D.C. Madam and Bruce Ivins were guilty of crimes, but knew names and might have named names. Vince Foster was some nobody shlub aide on the White House staff who, as far as we know, had no names to name and committed no crimes. To say that Vince Foster should be in the same pot as those other two is just ridiculous.

  5. Except that Bruce Ivins isn't guilty of anything other than being suspected by the FBI, which is not exactly a crime. From what little I've read, the evidence against him was circumstantial at best and they were not able to tie him to all of the mailings in question.

His suicide was awfully convenient for the FBI. Now they don't have to prove anything, just leak some selected innuendo, and the toadies in the MSM and on the Right will just suck it up.
