Thank You, Captain Obvious
(Or Captain Oblivious. Take your pick.)
When has reaching a peace deal in the Middle East not been difficult? The other problem is that, far from being an honest broker, the Bush Administration is conducting these negotiations like a realtor who is watching a large commission evaporate.

COMMENT MODERATION IS IN EFFECT UFN. This means that if you are an insulting dick, nobody will ever see it.
The idea of a peace treaty in the Middle East is a joke; that area will never be at peace.
ReplyDeleteBobG, it depends on what you mean by "peace." If you mean a situation where former enemies cooperate and trade with each other, as in Germany and the rest of Europe, I agree.
ReplyDeleteIf you mean a situation where the nations quietly loathe each other, but they act with diplomatic correctness and refrain from exchanging gunfire, I think that is achievable. Israel already has that with Jordan and Egypt.
