McCain's Lame-Ass Excuse

You may have encountered this scenario: Somebody says something that is really nasty and offensive about another person. The listeners, or even the target, react with outrage and verbally (if not physically) attack the speaker. The speaker is reduced to saying, in a wounded or defensive tone: "Hey, I was just trying to be funny. Lighten up."

That is what McCain is now doing when confronted with the reaction to his nasty "Obama is Paris Hilton" ad.
"Hey, I was just trying to be funny" is indeed his line. He even trotted out Joe LIEberman to make the same pathetic argument.

Paris Hilton's parents maxed out on their donations to McCain in the primary season. I'll bet they are not going to repeat that for the general election.

  1. Every true asshat male I have ever known used that sorry line after stomping on every boundary in sight "Oh, geez, ya'll are so uptight, it was a joke....have some humor!" I wish I could show McCain what I usually show them....how funny I think it is to knee idiots in the nuts! Gee, does this mean humor is subjective?
