MacGyver Cat

I was petting Jake last night.
When I was petting his head, he pulled back briefly, licked my palm three or four times, and then let me continue petting him. That cycle repeated about three times.

I first thought he was being affectionate, but then I realized what he was doing: Jake was using my hand to wash his head.

Smart cat.

  1. Heyyyy my kitten is named Jake.
I named him that after visiting the cemetery with my cousin Becky. Turns out her father's father was named Jake and I liked the sound of it.
    What a coincidence, eh?

  2. He is smart! When you pet our oldest cat Daisy, if she proceeds to lick you, prepare to be pseudo-bitten. She cleans the spot, puts her teeth to skin, then makes eye contact with you to see what you're going to do.

The only person she doesn't do this to is MathMan. She LOVES MathMan. She barely tolerates the rest of us.

  3. Don't let him fool you into washing his junk for him.
