McClatchy has an article about former Bush donors who are now giving money to Obama.
I love this quote:
"Katherine Merck, 84, of Lexington, Mass., preferred not to recall her donations of $2,000 to Bush in 1999 and $2,000 in 2004. `I just can't get over it that my name is in there for sending money to that miserable president,' she said."
The Republicans who are giving to Obama seem to be doing it largely to support his candidacy, while those Republicans who are giving to Clinton are doing it to support McCain, in the same way that Republicans who give to Ralph Nader don't give a damn about Nader. If turnabout is fair play, then if you want to get a Democrat in the White House and you have a lot of spare cash, consider donating to the Bob Barr campaign.
