You may have heard of or seen the movie Being John Malovich, where people can take control of John Malkovich.
Well, it sure seems like Alberto Gonzalez has taken control of Michael Mukasey. For Mukasey's recent testimony before Congress basically boils down to "it doesn't matter what Bush does, I'm not going to enforce the law against him or his minions." Congress can't cite them for contempt, for Mukasey will not enforce the charges.
But if Congress really wants to play hardball, they can just go lock the fuckers up anyway.
Not that it would ever happen. There is a severe shortage of gonads on the Democratic side of the aisle in Congress these days. After all, it's pretty interesting that the minority Republicans can block everything, but the minority Democrats in the congresses before could not block a fucking thing.
