The Bush Administration is seeking to gain political control over the careers of lawyers in the military Judge Advocate General Corps. The clear message they are trying to send is that if they do their jobs honestly and ethically, they will be punished.
This is beyond evil. This is a corruption of an entire system of justice to suit the political appointees. What is next, are they going to start placing замполиты* in all military commands to make sure that the commanders are loyal to the directives of the Chimperor?
Freedom is indeed under attack in this country. And the chief culprits all have offices in the West Wing of the White House.
It seems that Thomas Jefferson may have been right after all.
