I keep hearing mention that the Senate needs 60 votes to shut off a filibuster, and that is the excuse that the Democrats are giving for not getting anything through the Senate.
So where are the filibusters? Why have there not been any?
If the Republicans are so willing to threaten to filibuster the Senate to a standstill, let them do it. Call their bluff and let's see if the voters agree or disagree with those tactics, instead of caving at the mere mention of the word.
But no, if the Republicans breathe the word "filibuster", Harry Reid and the leaders of the majority in the Senate fall to their knees and willingly perform oral sex on the Republicans.
Grow a spine, people.
