Mukasey- Not So Fast

It's sure starting to appear that he is signing onto the Gonzo "torture is bad, but torture is what we say it is" brand of bullshit. He is not willing to admit that waterboarding is torture.

So we may now have, in essence, Gonzo 2.0 as the next Attorney General.

I agree with Eugene Robinson of the Washington Post: If these guys don't understand what is torture, then let's have them subjected to it and then see what they say. You might note that the only presidential candidate who has had first-hand experience at being tortured, John McCain, is very much against the use of torture. But it's the cushy white dudes (and their sell-outs) who have only known a life of privilege who seem to be latching onto the utter fantasy that torture is useful.
