There is a common thread between Bush's tenure at Harkin Oil and his conduct of the Iraq War:
In both cases, Bush ran things into the ground and then bailed out before the chickens came home to roost.
He mismanaged Harkin Oil and bailed out, selling his stock before word got out and the stock value cratered.
And in the Iraq War, Bush is clearly "playing for time" (his words) so that he can stick his successor with the hard choices.
The man is an adolescent coward: Making a hash out of things and then running off to let the grown-ups fix the problems he created. In a just world, we'd be at the "tar and feathers" stage by now.
