The Feds have been using the "sneak & peek" warrant provisions of the PATRIOT Act to crack down on cock fighting. You know, the legislation the Bush Administration demanded that be passed so they can fight the Global War on an Emotional State? Of the cases that the Federales have used the "sneak & peak" warrants for, only 12% have been terrorism-related. And given that the Feds have labeled as "terrorism-related" any case which is more serious than a parking violation and which involves any defendant whose family came from the Middle East, the percentage is probably a lot lower.
Freedom is not on the march in this country, that's for goddamn sure.
