Your Sunday Morning Prop Noise

Take a flight with a Sopwith Pup.

You'll notice that engine control is via a "blip switch"

  1. Looks like a fun airplane to fly. Don't much care for all the vibration in the flying wires - maybe they're in spec but they are sure flapping around

  2. Can't believe that a blip-switch setup doesn't mess up the engine with all the unburned fuel washing the cylinders and ending up in the crankcase...and coking up the valves. Enlighten me? And is the blipping done manually or automatically in the period ratio depending on where the "throttle" is set?

  3. Agree with Sarah, and the blip switch, IFRC, is manual. And the P-factor is 'interesting'...
