Ivermectin Will Probably Make You Sterile

In over 90% of men who took it.

So, as far as the far-Right goes, this may be ultimately be a self-solving problem.

Meanwhile, the cranks who are in positions of power are giving this drug to people without their consent.

  1. don't you ever get tired of being wrong? MILLIONS of people all over the world use ivermectin regularly with no side effects including sterility, just look at africa, south america and asia. no infertility there.

  2. Proof for your assertion that livestock dewormer is safe and effective in humans would be appreciated.

  3. I in no way recommend any medical treatment since I am not a doctor. I do see that Ivermectin is used to treat parasite roundworm infections in humans, requiring a doctor's prescription, and monitoring.
It seems that this is a different form of the medication then is given to livestock.
I am sorry for breaking my word on posting here, but I am just giving information, and my 25 year old, immuno compromised daughter, my 64 year old co morbid wife, and myself, a 61 year relative healthy male, have all gotten our 2 doses of the Pfizer vaccine. I was hesitant, but still got it, once I took the time to review the actual science, and not anecdotal evidence that is totally unreliable, and not worth considering.
Here is the link to the NIH article that I found about Ivermectin that seems to explain how it is safe to use as a treatment for parasites in humans. But again, do your own research, just like in all things. And thank you for letting me post, and have a great autumn season, and stay safe and sane. https://www.covid19treatmentguidelines.nih.gov/therapies/antiviral-therapy/ivermectin/

  5. First we had the Darwin variant, now we have the Darwin deworming treatment. Oh wait now there is some proof that processed venom from the Brazilian jararacussu pit viper may be a treatment for Darwin variant. I'm awaiting for the lines to form at the local snake clinic. This should be fun...

  6. @pigpen51: The study you quote may be tainted.

    https://www.theguardian.com/science/2021/jul/16/huge-study-supporting-ivermectin-as-covid-treatment-withdrawn-over-ethical-concerns

Do nih.gov websites fact-check what they allow to be posted, or do they assume all doctors are ethical?

  7. Ivermectin has been used on humans since the '75.

Please note that the total number of people studied in your paper were 37. Thirty Seven.
Pretty piss poor statistical analysis, as they were all from the same area and had the same disease. But they blamed it on Ivermectin.

By the way, using Google, here is a quote form Wikipedia since you keep denying that it has been used on humans:

"Ivermectin is a medication used to treat parasite infestations.[6][7] In humans, these include head lice, scabies, river blindness (onchocerciasis), strongyloidiasis, trichuriasis, ascariasis, and lymphatic filariasis.[6][8][9][10]
Been used since 1975. 46 years. Safely. No loss of sperm motility except in your quoted study. Note that the FDA, the CDC, and the WHO DON'T say that it is dangerous to use, just that they have not approved it for us as a treatment for Covid.

  8. I've used the stuff and I sell it.

A topical pour on for cattle,an oral drench for sheep,a paste for horses and an injectable that can be used across all these and other species of animals .

Dosage is by weight and varies with the way it is administered.

What else is in them to aid them in entering the body of a given animal.

The cattle pour on is absorbed quickly through the skin on the back of the cow . What do you suppose the chemical that facilitates that does in a human stomach and intestines?

The sheep drench goes into a ruminant stomach that can turn dry grass into nutrition. The drench is made to work in that environment not in a human stomach.

It saddens me that people that won't trust the science behind the vaccines will run to the feed store for a drug that they know nothing about .

  9. That’s the thing: Most of these Ivermectin-gobbling lunatics are using the animal-grade stuff. They’ll take a drug approved only for ruminants but not a vaccine that has been taken safely by over 100,000,000 people.

    It’s mind-blowing stupidity in action.

  10. B, here’s what the FDA has to say about the subject:

There seems to be a growing interest in a drug called ivermectin for the prevention or treatment of COVID-19 in humans. Certain animal formulations of ivermectin such as pour-on, injectable, paste, and "drench," are approved in the U.S. to treat or prevent parasites in animals. For humans, ivermectin tablets are approved at very specific doses to treat some parasitic worms, and there are topical (on the skin) formulations for head lice and skin conditions like rosacea.

However, the FDA has received multiple reports of patients who have required medical attention, including hospitalization, after self-medicating with ivermectin intended for livestock.

Here’s What You Need to Know about Ivermectin

The FDA has not authorized or approved ivermectin for use in preventing or treating COVID-19 in humans or animals. Ivermectin is approved for human use to treat infections caused by some parasitic worms and head lice and skin conditions like rosacea.
Currently available data do not show ivermectin is effective against COVID-19. Clinical trials assessing ivermectin tablets for the prevention or treatment of COVID-19 in people are ongoing.
Taking large doses of ivermectin is dangerous.
If your health care provider writes you an ivermectin prescription, fill it through a legitimate source such as a pharmacy, and take it exactly as prescribed.
Never use medications intended for animals on yourself or other people. Animal ivermectin products are very different from those approved for humans.

Use of animal ivermectin for the prevention or treatment of COVID-19 in humans is dangerous.
What is Ivermectin and How is it Used?
Ivermectin tablets are approved by the FDA to treat people with intestinal strongyloidiasis and onchocerciasis, two conditions caused by parasitic worms. In addition, some topical forms of ivermectin are approved to treat external parasites like head lice and for skin conditions such as rosacea.

When Can Taking Ivermectin Be Unsafe?

The FDA has not authorized or approved ivermectin for the treatment or prevention of COVID-19 in people or animals. Ivermectin has not been shown to be safe or effective for these indications.

There’s a lot of misinformation around, and you may have heard that it’s okay to take large doses of ivermectin. It is not okay.

Even the levels of ivermectin for approved human uses can interact with other medications, like blood-thinners. You can also overdose on ivermectin, which can cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, hypotension (low blood pressure), allergic reactions (itching and hives), dizziness, ataxia (problems with balance), seizures, coma and even death.

Ivermectin Products for Animals Are Different from Ivermectin Products for People

For one thing, animal drugs are often highly concentrated because they are used for large animals like horses and cows, which weigh a lot more than we do—a ton or more. Such high doses can be highly toxic in humans. Moreover, the FDA reviews drugs not just for safety and effectiveness of the active ingredients, but also for the inactive ingredients. Many inactive ingredients found in products for animals aren’t evaluated for use in people. Or they are included in much greater quantity than those used in people. In some cases, we don’t know how those inactive ingredients will affect how ivermectin is absorbed in the human body.

You need to do more research, B, before you end up making falsifiable statements, from now on.

  11. I call:

    see https://www.scholarsresearchlibrary.com/articles/effects-of-ivermectin-therapy-on-the-sperm-functions-of-nigerian-onchocerciasis-patients.pdf

Used in Africa the implications is onchocerciasis may warrant its
use (blindness) but "safe" is relative in humans. This is from
    2011 precovid and all that.

But hey, belief is not rational, nor provable. Science is not
about belief but repeatable, provable, and verifiable cause
    and effect.

The old saw is still valid: An ounce of prevention saves a
    pound of cure.

    Eck!

  12. Comrade Misfit,
Thank you for welcoming me to comment here. My stopping to comment here was self imposed, due to my often provoking others to anger, over my quite conservative point of view. I often come here to observe your postings, as I like to see what others think and say. And just like in my change in the way that I thought about the Covid 19 vaccine, I try to remain open minded about all things, and when shown that my thoughts are wrong, I will change them. But I don't wish to harm or cause anger in others, for no reason.
So mostly, I remain on the sidelines, unless I think that I can add something of substance to the discussion, that can be of help. But I still like to see what you have to say, since your blog is one of those that have intelligent discussions instead of so much garbage. Have a great autumn and be well.
