Ted "Cancun Cruz" Flees Texas

When danger reared its ugly head, Cancun Cruz turned and fled.

Sen. Ted Cruz flew to Cancun, Mexico, with his family this week as Texas dealt with a winter storm that left millions without power, Fox News has confirmed.

Photographs of Cruz, R-Texas, at an airport began circulating on social media late Wednesday, with people alleging that the senator had left the state for Cancun amid a major crisis. A Republican source told Fox News that the allegations Cruz was traveling to the Mexican city are true.

It's pretty clear that the average U.S. Senator isn't a leader of much of anything. If it's not grandstanding to boost his cred among the neo-Confederacy, Cruz seems to be incapable of doing anything. And maybe it's unfair to expect Flyin' Ted to consider staying home in Texas to show that he empathizes with his fellow citizens.

For Cruz, it's not "we're in this all together", it's more "Imma gonna get outta here!" If Texas was the RMS Titantic, Cruz would be shaving his beard and trying to find a dress that fit, so he could sneak onto a lifeboat.

Also: "Carribean Cruz".

  1. Got caught sneakin' back into the country, econo-class.

Must have been the duty-free serape` and sombrero that gave him away.

  2. I can't imagine that Texas is any worse off with him not there during a crisis.

  3. Cruz’s throwing his kids under the bus was not at all cool.

  4. What did Stephen King tell us about politicians who hide behind children, ladies and gentlemen?

  5. I haven't read the whole story yet, but it sure seems fishy. Was he alone taking the kids to Mexico? If it was maybe his wife too, then why didn't she just take the kids?
Who did he leave the kids with when he flew back from Mexico? You can't exactly set a 10 and 12-year-old loose on the beach.
I'd have to think Ted is just too stupid to think ahead to the ramifications of him fleeing his frozen state. Too bad his state isn't sharp enough to make him pay for it.
Nice that his credentials got him into Cancun at all.

  6. Ted said it was a planned vacation...

Ted then said it was a spur of the moment cause by his daughters asking to go somewhere warm...

Heidi's texts trying to organize some neighbors to go the day before ($309 at the Ritz in Cancun, with good security) shot all that down.

The Cruz's left their poodle alone in a "freezing" house...

  7. Supposedly the Poodle in question was left in the care of a house cleaner or another report said the "home guard".
Again though, here he left a human and the dog to freeze, along with all of his constituents.

  8. Of course Cruz is lying about about his trip. TFG had it right when he nicknamed Cruz "Lyin' Ted".
