  1. Impressive. I note the support crew has a fire extinguisher at the ready.

  2. I've forgotten what city, but just recently a couple of passenger jet flights have remarked about seeing one of those at about 3000-feet of altitude. I understand that the FAA is now on the lookout for them.
Not sure how I'd feel just hanging there with my feet out and see a jetliner go by at eye level. Scary.

  3. Yeah, w3ski, two incidents, this week and a month ago, both near LAX. One report was at 6000 feet, which is a bit high for the fuel capacity in those things. If you run out of gas in fight, the route down is via parachute, which would make a clean getaway difficult.

Also, you can't get those on Ebay...there are just a couple of companies making them, and I don't think they have much motive to deal with the wingnut crowd. Prevailing opinion seems to be an R/C model.

  4. Interesting, and I'll pass. Rocket man I'm NOT! Thanks for the video though!

  5. It’s turbojets, and somewhat prone to the risk of tailpipe fires, where most commercial jets now use the less prone turbofans. Having an extinguisher is smart practice at start for those puppies.
