President Trump has suggested multiple times to senior Homeland Security and national security officials that they explore using nuclear bombs to stop hurricanes from hitting the United States, according to sources who have heard the president's private remarks and been briefed on a National Security Council memorandum that recorded those comments.One would have to be an incredibly ignorant imbecile to think that detonating nuclear weapons in the atmosphere is a good idea.
In fact, it's a very bad idea. Almost any sentient adult would have recognized that it was a very bad idea. But not Trump, who kept raising the subject.
At what point do Republicans begin to acknowledge, in public, that Trump is nutter than a boxcar full of peanuts?

The IDEA of using a heat source to break up a hurricane has been tossed around for many years. It's a great idea at first glance. Perhaps not so much after looking at it twice.
But yes, tossing any nuclear bomb into our atmosphere is a bad idea.
The cheese has slid all of the way off of his cracker. Take the nuclear football away from him, stamp his forehead, and send him out to play for seventeen months.
