The Bastille was torn down very soon afterwards. Very little of it survives. The key to the fortress was given by Marquis de Lafayette to President Washington.
It is so disgusting to think that there are people in America, including possibly the President, who believe that Major Strasser and and the Nazis should be the heroes in "Casablanca".

ReplyDeleteThough on reflection, I doubt that Trump as ever made it through "Casablanca". No explosions, no bare boobies, most of the action involves people being noble and self sacrificing. Not his type of flick at all.
Now I really want to watch it again.
re, when you re-watch it focus on Madeleine Lebeau at the end of the Marseillaise scene. She was a real refugee and it wasn't acting for her.
