Stopping Mass Shootings; Armed Citizens Edition

It has happened, and more than a few times.

It's probably happened more times than that. If a perp walks into a place, bent on mayhem, and then becomes fatally ill with a sudden onset of bullet wounds, there may not be the body count to generate breathless media coverage. Depending on the location, it might merely make the police blotter.

  1. The linked page was very interesting, but I was saddened by the author separating people into "police" and "civilians". I know what he meant, but police are civilians; the off duty military personnel were not.
