But whoever came up with the headline, whether it was the reporter or an editor, probably deserves a flogging:
Gun-toting soccer moms a scary thought in D.C. area, but not out westYou have to wonder about the sick mindset of someone who thinks that it is "scary" that law-abiding citizens are legally practicing and carrying firearms. But then again, the WaPo probably feels the same way bout bloggers.
This is damned near a story about "wimmin drivers!!"
ReplyDeleteNangleator, you have to consider the source. The WaPo isn't going to publish a pro-gun rights article until the Sun blows up.
ReplyDeleteThe same kind of misogynistic creeps who are afraid of any woman every being armed....
ReplyDeleteAh, The 19th Female people in the USA can VOTE. Fixing that was about 90 years ago. Voting is the watermark for
ReplyDeletecitizenship.
Now they worry that we just make them behave in a civil way.. or get shot. Oh, my! You'd think that after being officially citizens and entitled to bare firearms that we would shot a few by now.
Seems they haven't thought this out well at all, or likely not at all.
Eck!
I was looking at the story from the perspective of "not bad for a gun-hating rag" and not from a feminist perspective. On further thought, it is evidence of a deep strain of misogynism, which is even more astonishing since it ran in the frakking style section!
ReplyDeleteFor some reason the misogynism screamed at me despite it being fairly balanced toward guns in general.
ReplyDeleteDidn't hurt that Google had a note on the 19th amendment, which was ratified on August 18, 1920. and your list of
compelling constitutional amendments.
Eck!
