Sales were up over last year, but they were apparently driven by deep discounting. After the big sales on Friday, the rest of the weekend was nothing special.
Last year, my siblings and I agreed to stop buying gifts for each other. That was driven more by the hassle of shipping stuff than anything else; we were each spending close to $100 just to ship shit. Nieces and nephews are getting gift cards or cash.
