Trump and Putin Lost One

Voters in Canada’s Alberta have overwhelmingly rejected a proposal to begin a process towards independence, delivering a victory for the prime minister, Mark Carney, and supporters of Canadian unity.

With more than 1.5m votes counted, 76% supported remaining in Canada, while close to 24% backed beginning a process toward separation, according to unofficial results from Elections Alberta.

Albertan independence was backed by Trump, Putin, and the usual collection of American fascists like Steve Bannon and the Heritage Foundation. It's good to see that most Albertans had the sense to recoginize who was fucking with them.

  1. Yeah, all of those "break California into several states" plans are Russian. Every last one.

  2. Looks like even in Alberta the dysfunctional right wingers are a small proportion of the populace than Magats are in the US. C'est bien.

  3. So, no Albertaexit. Maybe we can figure what makes the Canadians smarter and feed it to the Maga deplorables

    1. And to the Brits, who let the Russians persuade them to wreck their own economy.
