300 Million Americans Died From Drug Overdoses Last Year, According to the Orange Blob

That's what he said, so now the question is whether or not he has all of his marbles.

President Donald Trump is causing more speculation about his health and cognitive ability after he claimed on Sunday that 300 million people died last year from drugs, despite the United States population only being 340 million, according to the 2020 U.S. Census.

Trump made the clearly incorrect claim after being asked by a reporter if the recent military strike against a Venezuelan boat, the administration claims was carrying drugs to the U.S., was illegal and would escalate tensions with the country.

"What's illegal are the drugs that were on the boat and the drugs that are being sent into our country, and the fact that 300 million people died last year from drugs, that's what's illegal," Trump said. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 80,400 people died from drug overdoses last year, down about 27% from 2023, when 110,000 people died
.

Some time recently, someone mentioned the drug overdose statistics and the Dementia Patient-in-Chief confused the population of the country with the total of drug deaths.

It's becoming more and more apparent to the rest of the world that the United States has a president who is in severe mental decline. Look for China and Russia, among others, to take advantage of the blustering and befuddled bozo in the Oval Office.

  1. Wow, only 15 million of us left in US. I get that from the last census of about 315 million total. The man is an idiot, bad at arithmetic too.

Last I looked the actual number is terrible at about 100,000 people dead from drugs this last year. However that is far lower than 300,000,000 by
a factor of 3000 or so.

    Eck!

  2. I'd change the last sentence from future tense to present tense. I'm sure they can't believe how lucky they are that there are tens of millions of shit heads in this country that said "Yeah, that". He's screwed us over for certainly the rest of my life (I'm 66), probably for the lives of my nieces and nephews, and maybe even my great nieces and nephews.
