The Dumbest Bill Since Indiana Tried to Define Pi.

The bought-and-paid-for morons in the legislature are defining natural gas as "green energy".

Next up, Louisiana will pass a law that dirt is one of the most important food groups.

Nobody expects honest government in Louisiana, they make the Texas legislature look good. But this bill is a prizewinning example of both corruption and stupidity. The Indiana Pi bill, in comparison, was only stupid.

  1. To be fair, one can make natural gas from stuff like manure. Large sewage treatment facilities actually have to burn off the gas that is produced, and use spark-free equipment in areas with higher concentrations of methane.

That definition of natural gas as 'green' needs refinement, but if some future legislature, anywhere, were to narrow it to specify sources other than drilling, it could be a good thing.
