National Greed and Sloth Day

Yes, an ongoing rant.

Today has nothing to do with whose who died serving this country. It's all about starting the summer vacation season, a three-day holiday and, most importantly, enriching all sorts of retail and travel industries.

  1. Many died so we can have a holiday and free speech without responsibility or honor. However the buck will be almighty.

Just a thought on sarcasm, free speech, and honor.

    Eck!

  2. One Memorial Day, my wife suggested we drive up to Gettysburg. We often did so, as it was only an hour away. We found it decorated with flags and bunting, and people were very excited for the parade that day. Parade? Up the main street to the cemetery. Oh.... OH! I never cried at a parade before, but I did that day.
