But they are twisting themselves into knots of outrage because James Comey posted "86. 47." As noted in the cited article, conservatives repeatedly said "86 46" when Biden was president and nobody was investigated by the Secret Service. The Director of Homeland Security did not have a conniption fit.

I wrote 45+47=88 in a comment section and the response was "You liberals can't do math." When the explanation was given that 88 is from the code of the eighth letter "H" put together to mean Heil Hitler the response was "You must love Hitler because you know these things." Doh!!

DeleteSecond, as I pointed out nobody investigated crap like "86 46". The only things that were investigated were the sort of threats that the Secret Service has taken seriously for generations. Maybe you're too young to remember a guy who was convicted of threatening the president for what he said when he was in the LBJ.
What the Trump Administration is working towards, and what your side is fine with, is setting up an environment in which any criticism of His Orange Awfulness is considered a threat. Your side wants a crime of Lèse-majesté to be prosecuted.
But since it's pretty clear that Trump wants to be a king and your side is clearly on board with his ambition, it's to be expected.
