A French scientist was denied entry to the US this month after immigration officers at an airport searched his phone and found messages in which he had expressed criticism of the Trump administration, said a French minister.
This is USSR-grade horseshit. And it's going to do a number on the tourism industry, much of which relies on froeign visitors to be profitable. Already, I'm hearing that tourist travel to the US has dropped quite a bit.
As it is, a number of RV campgrounds in Federal parks aren't opening this year, which should please the MAGA-travelers no end.

ReplyDeleteWith the word getting out to Europeans, the numbers for Summer reservations and demand at places like DisneyWorld and suffer will be impressively bad. Grabbing tourists, solitary confinement and forcing the purchase of an expensive flight home to gain release…and, as a bonus, also detaining a citizen with them for 48 hours, isn’t playing well. Add to that the “revocation” of green cards and visas, the U.S. brain drain is about to turbocharge.
